Elina Linina

The color palette, theme and general aesthetic of this tumblr is really nice. Certainly worth a look if you've got a minute.

A story from Dad

I remember once somewhere on the Med coast there was a dark coloured rock pool and there must have been air trapped beneath it. When the sun shone the air expanded and bubbled out from one small hole at the bottom of the pool. The result was that the pool got covered with a raft of absolutely identical sized bubbles and they assumed a uniform mathematically arranged raft which just looked so un-natural.

Freeze Festival

Freeze was on the weekend. It was good. I worked on the ramp again, like last year.

Jewelling my kicks

I'm still enjoying the 90s vibe even though many people are hating on it. It is so much fun. I feel like a child again. And I would have loved to wear these as a child. So I sewed on some jewels and I'm wearing them now. They're just those Office plimmies that everyone's rocking. Enjoy.

Summer Ski

About two weeks ago, it was my university ski club's summer blow-out, which included an outdoor summer set-up (courtesy of Wasteland and Sno!Zone Castleford). Not many photographs or films were taken unfortunately (too much drinking). I found this one though; I'm on the in-run. It was a really fun afternoon of skiing with friends in the sun - the feature was a 4m box and the snow lasted out until about 8pm.

I've been slowly collecting all the footage I shot from my Easter trip, as it was saved on numerous ski-bums' laptops all over resort. I've started organising my time well enough to begin thinking about the edit; it'll be quite a large, time-consuming project, but I'm going to enjoy the process knowing there isn't a deadline to finish it. I can't wait to get started.

Other than that, I'm looking forward to the Parkstrife launch on the 29th June at Cas. I've not been skiing for a while, and what with a handful of friends riding Southern Hemisphere this summer, I'm pretty desperate to clip back in.

Jubilicious

Jubilee on the Boat from Faith Robinson on Vimeo.

A film made by me which documents the Queens jubilee from my friend's Chelsea houseboat.
